BD Manager
Responsibility:
1. Portfolio Alliancing:
Lead Portfolio Alliancing activities with potential partners through identification, evaluation, negotiation & closure which includes identification of portfolio gaps & opportunities, developing leads through active dialogue with internal stake holders (Finance, Marketing, Country Managers, Regional head), ensuring timely due diligence, financial analysis, internal & external negotiations, internal approvals, contract development & finalization with partner and sign off IN ORDER TO create new capabilities in segments/ therapy areas hitherto not significantly represented by the organization in China.
2. Active target identification:
Screen & identify in-licensing and portfolio alliancing opportunities through market database screening, conference participation, tracking portfolio of competitors & companies with no- significant business in the Region, keeping abreast with latest offerings from drug development companies, leveraging internal network of CMs, BD council & engaging consultants IN ORDER TO timely identify, align & exploit product opportunities.
3. Internal deal management:
Lead term sheet sign/ agreement off & due diligence, ensure adherence to BD council guidelines, contract development & sign off through engaging legal, finance, IPDO, regulatory, SCM teams IN ORDER TO ensure compliance & appropriate terms, conditions & safeguards in the agreement.
4. External partner Management:
Develop & nurture relationships with existing & potential partners through regular engagement, sharing information on market, product & company developments, monthly reports, regular face to face interactions which build trust, mutual respect & bring in transparency IN ORDER TO maximise value from existing relationships and enhance visibility of Dr. Reddy’s as an active BD organization.
Requirements:
1. Candidate should be in life sciences/ pharmacy undergraduate degree. Should have minimum of 5-10 years overall work experience in Pharma, Consulting or Investment Banking industries in global companies;Sales experience, though not mandatory, is desirable.
2. Should have strong understanding of China pharmaceutical industry & a broad understanding of global markets, should be able to identify trends & relate macro economic developments with impact on local market, understand & track competitors, understand internal processes, people & organisation business on the territory.
3. Understanding of Negotiation tactics, contract law (basic), Key Financial terms. 4. Fluent English - Reading and written &nbs*****>
